About Us!
We are a group of volunteers from the police department and other agencies in the
community. We started this in 2006 with our first youth safety fair which took place at the
Dothan Brook School. We started this with a very small budget of about $100 and a
limited amount of supplies and participants. Through the years we have expanded
through many kind contributions and the addition of volunteers and resources. Going into
our fourth youth safety fair we have a larger budget, many kind volunteers from the
community and surrounding agencies, and a larger amount of donations.

We are the process of planning our 5th annual Hartford Area
Youth Safety Fair. This years fair will be held on May 8th, 2009
from Noon - 4 PM. It will be held at the Hartford, VT High
School football field and B.O.R. This year is going to be better
than ever! Some of the activities that we will have at this years
safety fair are:
  • Rollover Car
  • Fire Safety Trailer
  • Fatal Vision Goggles to simulate the effects of drunk driving
  • Craft Table
  • Operation Railroad
  • Child Safety Seat Inspection
  • Bike Rodeo: anyone who completes the course can get a voucher for a free bike
    helmet!
  • Cub Scout Cookout
  • Child ID Kits
  • Prizes: raffle tickets given in registration bags
